Vienna New Year's Day Concert

Every New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, the city of Vienna gives itself over to celebrating. There's the Grand Ball at the Hofburg Palace and galas held in the City Hall and Vienna's top hotels. And New Year's Day is greeted in classic fashion with the legendary Vienna Philharmonic 's annual concert, now also broadcast on a big screen in front of City Hall. 

Jane Jones gets into the seasonal spirit and brings you an unrivalled Viennese celebration with the Vienna Philharmonic under a succession of brilliant conductors and music from the city's most famous musical sons - and a few other great composers.
