Catherine will be exploring whether a great venue makes a difference to how performers perform, taking in three magnificent venues in Europe and two great British halls - she has sung in all of them: the Concertegbouw Amsterdam, the Berlin Philharmonie, the Vienna Musikverein (pictured), the Wigmore in London and the Bridgewater in Manchester.
And there are four of America's finest venues to discover – Symphony Hall Boston, Walt Disney Concert Hall Los Angeles, and the Avery Fisher Hall and Carnegie Hall in New York – where Catherine is yet to test the acoustics.
