David has a joyous celebration of Light Music this evening.

On his show this week, David Mellor celebrates a genre of music which seems to be growing in popularity - Light Music. Tonight he explores some of the best music associated with the genre.

There are plenty of British favourites to enjoy tonight, including Eric Coates’ stirring Dambusters March and even something from the pen of Sir Edward Elgar - his Wand of Youth suite.

Travelling a little further afield, David crosses the pond for Leroy Anderson’s Trumpeter’s Lullaby and a number composed for Shall We Dance, starring Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire, composed by the great George Gershwin.
