The much-loved broadcaster Dame Joan Bakewell answers Jamie Crick's questions about her new series 'Lovers' on Classic FM, which looks at the love lives of some of our greatest composers and performers.
Joan talks about the inspiration for the new show and the great connection between music and emotions, in particular those between the world's most famous composers, conductors and performers and the extraordinary love lives they had.
Without giving too much away, Joan highlights some great and scandalous stories in the series including one composer's unusual menage a trois living arrangements, Janáček's unrequited love for an older woman and the incredible chemistry between some of the classical world's most famous married couples.
