Miranda Hart spoke to Nick about life as a comedienne and what it's like to be so tall "I can reach a high shelf and see in a crowd, but men are often smaller which in a dating situation is less good."
Miranda Hart always knew that she wanted to make people laugh but was just to shy to tell anyone. She grew up in Petersfield, Hampshire with her younger sister, mother and her father but it wasn't until her mid 20's that she stared to overcome her shyness and decide that the world of comedy was where she wanted to be.
After years spent honing her craft she finally broke through with her eponymously titled sitcom where she plays an awkward 6' 1" tall single woman who has blown her inheritance on a joke shop which she runs with her friend Stevie. Her straight acting has also proved a ratings hit with her role in 'Call the Midwife' which helped bring in more than 11 million viewers.
In this candid interview, Miranda spoke with Nick about why Mozart’s Piano Concerto No.21 is so special to her, her love of Morecambe and Wise and why she waited 15 years before being finally accepted in the world of comedy.
