Nick Ferrari welcomed the Welsh mezzo-soprano Katherine Jenkins to Classic FM. Katherine reflected back on her extraordinary year – from Dancing with the Stars in the States to recording her new Christmas album.

When she released her debut album Premiere in 2004 Katherine Jenkins became the fastest selling mezzo-soprano to date.

It kick started her transformation from small town girl to a national sweetheart. Along the way she has been the official mascot for the Welsh rugby team, released seven classical albums, each of which have topped the classical music chart, become a mentor for the ITV show Pop Star to Opera Star and she's even starred in an episode to Doctor Who.
