Wynne Evans on life as an entertainer
TV commercial superstar Gio Compario - aka Wynne Evans - popped into Charlotte Green's Culture Club to talk about his extraordinary life.
Born in South Wales, Wynne Evans studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the National Opera Studio in London. In 2009 he became the face and voice of the advertising campaign for GoCompare.com. He has gone on to make dozens of commercials for both radio and TV.
On Sunday 20 October 2013, Wynne spoke with Charlotte Green about his new album, his series on Verdi on Classic FM, and his life as an opera singer and all-round entertainer. He also had some hilarious stories to share about things that haven't gone quite so well on stage at the opera house.
