This week’s show has a literary feel, as Charlotte is joined by the popular authors Barbara Taylor Bradford and Philip Pullman.

Philip Pullman is the author of several best-selling books, most notably the fantasy trilogy His Dark Materials and the fictionalised biography of Jesus, The Good Man Jesus and the Scoundrel Christ . In 2008, The Times named Pullman one of the "50 greatest British writers since 1945"

Barbara Taylor Bradford's debut novel A Woman of Substance  was published in 1979 and has sold more than 30 million copies worldwide. It ranks as one of the top-ten bestselling novels of all-time. Her new book – her 30th novel – Cavendon Women is the stunning sequel to her Cavendon Hall  and continues the story of the Ingham and the Swann families.

On today's show, Charlotte talks to the authors about their latest books – and we'll also be hearing some of their favourite classical music.
