Violin legend Itzhak Perlman and journlist Jon Snow are Charlotte's guests.

On today's show, Charlotte meets the world-renowned violinist Itzhak Perlman. He celebrates his 70th birthday this year, so he and Charlotte will be toasting this milestone together, and using it as an excuse to tell a few stories behind his remarkable career.

Also this afternoon journalist and TV presenter Jon Snow will be talking about a special event happening later this month at St Paul’s Cathedral, where a chorister from each of the UK’s cathedrals will gather to sing as one voice. The event, supported by Classic FM, is particularly pertinent to Jon, as a former chorister himself. He believes that his many successes in life came as a result of his chorister training, but now many places in cathedral choirs are unstable – they need financial support to continue to provide an outstanding educational start in the UK.
