Alex James' Magical Musical Tour - 1 March 2014

Alex James' travels bring him to London and the music inspired by the city.

This week, Alex James heads off in search of the musical delights of London.

We’ll hear a wide range of pieces linked to London as well as music written by composers from further afield who were inspired by the city.

Among the highlights are a choral favourite from Mayfair resident George Frederic Handel, the Symphony No.104 (‘London’) by Haydn and a selection of English favourites performed by the London Symphony Orchestra, the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the London Mozart Players.
