Not only was he celebrating his birthday this week, but André Rieu picked up a Classic BRIT award for album of the year. André was accompanied by his composition partner and world-renowned actor - Sir Anthony Hopkins. Classic FM's Lucy Coward caught up with both of them on the red carpet before the ceremony began.
Violinist Nicola Benedetti was also on the red carpet. She went on to win the Female Artist award and perform John Williams' music from Schindler's List. She spoke about her performance and also the cultural future of Scotland.
Milos Karadaglic’s won an award for best breakthrough artist of the year. Speaking to Classic FM’s Jamie Crick, Miloš shared not only his passion for the guitar, but his thoughts on the ceremony.
Finally, Jamie caught up with Gareth Malone accompanied by two of his Military Wives Choir.
