3. One of the oldest works in the Hall of Fame, Allegri's Renaissance choral masterpiece charted at No. 13 in 2012. Written around 1630, the haunting music was only permitted to be performed in the Sistine Chapel in Rome, until it was transcribed by Mozart when the 14-year-old composer visited the city.
