Charity auction: Win a journey on the Venice Simplon Orient Express

You and a guest will be flown out to Venice with Monarch Airlines. On arrival, we’ll put you up for two nights so that you can relax and spend a few days taking in Venice’s beautiful surroundings before embarking on the most decadent of journeys.

This prize will be auctioned live on Classic FM on Friday 10 October between 09:30am and 12:00pm. To enter:

As the train winds its way through glorious scenery, your journey will take you from Venice, through Paris and finally to London, as you spend two nights on this 5* hotel on wheels. Be wined and dined as you enjoy exquisite meals prepared by skilled chefs as your dedicated steward sees to your every need. Marvel at the breathtaking views and relax in your luxurious cabin, as this journey will undoubtedly create a lasting memory.

Terms and conditions

- This prize is for 2 people on a date subject to availability before 31 October 2015 and may not be available on all dates during peak periods such as Christmas, New Year, school and Bank Holidays.

- This prize must be booked before 31st January 2015.

- The prize is one pair of one-way flights with Monarch from Birmingham, London Gatwick or Manchester to Venice.

- Accommodation for 2 nights on a room only basis. We cannot always inform you of your room type in advance – this will be determined on check-in.

- 1 night on Belmond Venice Simplon Orient Express. All meals and excursions are included.

- Alcoholic beverages are not included.

- At least one guest must be over the age of 18.

- Not for resale and there is no cash alternative. This is a charity auction and as such no refunds are given.

- It is the responsibility of the winner to ensure they have the correct visa, valid passport and travel insurance.

- Flights are subject to availability. Many airlines have a set number of complimentary seats on flights, which are allocated on a first come first served basis. It is not guaranteed that all flights will have an allocation.

- Airport taxes are included in the prize. The winner is responsible for all other expenses and arrangements (such as but not limited to flight extras, in-flight meals, pre-allocated seats, accommodation, meals, spending money and transportation to and from the departing and destination airport) not specifically included in the prize

- Prize winners are responsible for paying for each piece of hold baggage taken. Current prices are available on our website. Up to 10kg of hand baggage may be taken free of charge no bigger than 56 x 40 x 25cm.

- Transfers in the UK and Venice aren’t included

- Whilst we will do all we can to book your trip on your preferred dates, this is not always possible and we ask that you provide 3 options as soon as possible after the auction and at least 4 weeks’ notice to make a booking. More popular holiday periods for the destination get booked up quickly and there are no guarantees we will be able to offer your first choice.

- Wheelchair access may be limited or unavailable

- Due to the nature of prize donations, please be aware that it can take several weeks to confirm dates.
