The Sage in Gateshead will be the home of Classic FM for one day only on Monday 17th September, as the day's programming comes live from the venue's 2nd floor bar.
Classic FM will be broadcast directly from The Sage in Gateshead this Monday, as part of the station's ongoing 20th birthday celebrations. Beginning with Tim Lihoreau's breakfast show and ending with Jane Jones' Full Works Concert, all programs will come live from the second floor bar of the venue.
The full schedule will also include Nick Bailey's morning show, Jamie Crick in the afternoon and Classic FM Drive with John Brunning. The Full Works Concert will feature a recording of the previous night's (Sunday 16th) concert from The Sage.
The concert will showcase a program of light music from the Northern Sinfonia, Classic FM's Orchestra in the North East, under the baton of John Wilson and leader Kyra Humphreys.
Members of the public are encouraged to come down to The Sage on the day to meet the presenters and enjoy the surroundings of the magnificent performance space. The day's programs will reflect the North East surroundings, featuring famous soloists and music inspired by the local area.
