We asked today's best classical musicians to share the best piece of advice they'd ever been given, from Joyce DiDonato and Itzhak Perlman to Maxim Vengerov and Pinchas Zukerman.

Every great musician has made it to the top of their field through hard work, practise and a dose of good luck.

So we asked some of the biggest names out there to share the best piece of advice they’d ever been given. Here's what they had to say…
