This orchestra trolled audience members who don’t put their phone on silent (and turned it into a beautiful symphony)

Time to fight back against noisy mobile phones in the concert hall, with a genius symphonic prank.

Concert-goers are very familiar with it - the shock, disappointment and frustration when the ring of a mobile phone or a noisy app notification sounds in an otherwise silent audience, to spoil an exquisite moment of music.

This orchestra responded to this very 21st-century concert hall issue with a prank for their audience. Using a combination of phones in the audience, and a few meastro cues, this orchestra from Fort Collins Colorado turned an initial audience prank into a full symphonic experience featuring Jim David's composition, iCanon.
