BAFTA Games Awards: soundtrack nominations announced

The nominations for the 2014 BAFTA Games Awards have been announced, with the soundtrack category recognising six different individual scores.

The nominations in the Music category are:

Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag (Brian Tyler)
Beyond: Two Souls (Normand Corbeil, Lorne Balfe)
BioShock Infinite (Garry Schyman)
The Last of Us (Gustavo Santaolalla)
Super Mario 3D World (Mahito Yokota, Toru Minegishi, Yasuaki Iwata, Koji Kondo)
Tearaway (Kenneth C. M. Young, Brian D'Oliveira)

Soundtrack veteran Brian Tyler picks up a nomination for Assassin's Creed IV, after a several years of success as a Hollywood composer. Beyond: Two Souls has a particularly high-profile name behind the scenes, with Hans Zimmer credited as producer. The Last Of Us is also nominated in 9 other categories at the BAFTAs, and is expected to sweep the board.

The 2013 award in both the Music and the Audio Achievement categories went to Austin Wintory for his soundtrack to Journey.
