Kanye West probably thought he was being super original with his gift – but actually back in 1870 the composer Wagner surprised his wife, Cosima, with not only a whole orchestra, but also a brand-new piece dedicated to her – the Siegfried Idyll.
Kimye’s orchestra stuck to more contemporary fare, performing arrangements of ‘Let It Go’ from Disney’s Frozen, Stevie Wonder’s ‘You Are the Sunshine of My Life’ and ‘Tomorrow’ from Annie. (Could have gone that extra mile, couldn't you, Kanye.)
