Javier Perianes is one of the rising stars of the classical world, having worked with some of the best conductors and orchestras in the world including the Orchestre de Paris, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and the San Francisco Symphony.
His recordings include works by Schubert, Beethoven and De Falla – one critic said of his recording of De Falla’s Nights in the Gardens of Spain: “This is a disc to lift the spirits. Whether the music is sultry, strenuous or sunny, Javier Perianes plays with an infallible ear for style, atmosphere and colour.”
This Friday 22 May he performs Ravel’s G Major Piano Concerto at Cadogan Hall with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and he’s just released a new recording of Grieg’s solo piano music including the epic Piano Concerto in A minor, conducted by Sakari Oramo.
