Think you know your classical music? We've put together a fiendish test to find out whether you can recognise some of the greatest pieces ever written from just the opening notes…

Sure, you can recognise Beethoven's Fifth Symphony within a minute or two and name which Mozart opera you're listening to by the end of the overture. And of course the cannons in Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture are a bit of a give-away.
