Xuefei Yang votes in the Classic FM Hall of Fame 2012

We've been talking to some of the world's finest musicians to find out which pieces they'll be voting for in this year's Hall of Fame. In this video acclaimed Chinese guitarist Xuefei Yang nominates her favourite piece for the classical guitar.

Xuefei Yang is considered something of a musical pioneer, being the first Chinese student to be awarded a full international scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music in London. She has since gone on to become a widely acclaimed recording artist, with her albums aiming to actively expand the guitar repertoire.

Her new album is no exception, with J.S. Bach violin concertos transcribed by Xufei herself for guitar and string quartet (performed by the Elias Quartet).
