The Spring Knitting & Stitching Show, Edinburgh

Knitting & Stitching Show

Work by some of the most acclaimed names in contemporary textile art, including leading Scottish artists, will be open to public view at The Spring Knitting & Stitching Show in Edinburgh in April.

Taking place at Highland Hall at the Royal Highland Centre from 27th-30th April, The Spring Knitting & Stitching Show features an exceptional programme of textile galleries which includes 'Making Space' by The 62 Group of Textile Artists exhibition. This world-respected group of textile artists challenges the boundaries of textile practice, and in 'Making Space', have been inspired by the theme of ‘Space’ which they have interpreted in its widest sense. Ann Goddard, Jane McKeating, Nigel Cheney, Richard McVeti, Sue Stone and Tilleke Schwarz are among member artists exhibiting in this varied and inspiring series of two- and three-dimensional work.

An artist-led exhibition talk and tour of Making Space by 62 Group member artists Joanna Kinnersly-Taylor (a printed textile artist and designer based in Glasgow) and Fiona Rutherford (an Edinburgh-based artist specialising in tapestry weaving) will take place at midday on Thursday 27th April.
