The Darley Park Concert 2013
Classic FM has teamed up with Derby LIVE for the Darley Park Concert 2013, one of the UK’s largest free outdoor classical concerts.
The annual Darley Park Concert takes place this year on Sunday 1st September in a superb setting, with fabulous music and fantastic fireworks in the company of the region’s only professional orchestra, Sinfonia Viva.
This year, conductor James Holmes and Sinfonia Viva will play a host of concert favourites and cheerful classics. Joining the Orchestra on stage will be the award-winning baritone Grant Doyle. This year's running order sees a special focus on 'time' as the city celebrates the 300th anniversary of the birth of clockmaker John Whitehurst.
Presented by Classic FM’s very own John Brunning, come along and be part of the expected 30,000-strong crowd in the stunning natural amphitheatre that is Darley Park. Entry to the concert is free.
