Christmas Carol Concert

Join the Malcolm Sergeant Festival Choir for a night of carols at St Peter's Church Eaton Square, London, on December 12.

The Malcolm Sargent Festival Choir was formed in 1985 when 400 of its members sailed across the North Sea in a chilly January (22˚F below) to take part in a 3000-voice Messiah in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Over the years the Choir has travelled to Australia to launch the Malcolm Sargent Cancer Fund for Children and visited Germany, Belgium, Austria, Hungary, Holland, France, Spain and St. Peter’s Rome, to name but a few of the places where it has performed. As an auditioned Choir it seeks to attract singers from around the country; it has performed all the major choral repertoire and has sung with a number of national orchestras and ensembles.

The Choir travels abroad every other year and in the intervening years visits towns and cities around the United Kingdom.

In Simon Over and Nick O’Neill, the Choir has a dynamic duo as Conductor and Chorus Master. Rehearsals are hard work but great fun and the aim is to attain the highest standard of music possible.
