Bristol Old Vic's Tom Morris on The Bristol Proms

The hugely diverse line-up at this year's inaugural Bristol Proms is no-doubt influenced by the rich and varied history of its location - The Bristol Old Vic. As the Old Vic's artistic director Tom Morris explained to Classic FM's Lucy Coward, it's the result of a lot of hard work too.

Touching on the venue's iconic history (and Paganini performances to boot), he also tells us about his own role in directing the semi-staged performance of Handel's Messiah that is set to close the week in spectacular style.

"This year's Bristol Proms is an experiment... but we're already planning next year, in fact."
