Taken from his Pictures at an Exhibition, the orchestral arrangement of this movement uses high-pitched woodwind to sound like chicks, with jerky clashing notes sticking out of the texture. You can almost see the clumsy movements of the hatching eggs, thanks to Mussorgsky's quirky music.
