L'histoire de Babar, le petit éléphant - Poulenc
Poulenc's equivalent of Prokofiev's musical children's tale, Peter and the Wolf - this piece tells the story of Babar the elephant with the help of a piano and narrator. It was written in 1940, with words by Babar's creator, Jean de Brunhof.
