This shocking video shows exactly what happens when you’re pushed for space on that stage.

Violinist Romulo Assis was hammering his way through the Tchaikovsky concerto when conductor Nuno Côrte-Real’s left hand makes contact with the instrument.

How heart-stopping is this? The concert itself took place last week, and since then the video has been viewed over 70,000 times - proof that, when it comes down to it, some people just want to see expensive items hit the floor.

According to comments on The Violin Channel, the violin escaped basically unhurt except for needing a new bridge. Phew.
