We’ve all experienced this feeling at some point, right? Extreme pride at staggering through a difficult time, only for it to be cruelly taken away upon celebration.

This kid. Nothing sums up the human experience quite like this kid. Plucky and determined in his trumpet solo, then justifiably jubilant on completion.

Sure, why not celebrate? You did good. But don’t celebrate too much, little man. That way justice lies. Is there a better summation of the essence of human tragedy?
