Joyous: this horn player absolutely lets rip during a ballet performance

When you’re playing the same piece night after night, you sometimes need to mix things up to keep it interesting. A new approach to certain sections, perhaps some new articulation on particular notes…

But horn player Rune Brodahl took things to new level during a performance of Don Quixote (the ballet with music by Ludwig Minkus), letting rip with an utterly wild horn trill during the famous horn solo section.

On-stage, one of the characters sounds his horn and causes all the other characters to cover their ears, so this over-the-top performance is actually perfectly in character.
