Great orchestras from around the world at Southbank Centre

As part of Shell Classic International concert series, Antonio Pappano brings his Italian orchestra and chorus to Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall this summer, and the Teresa Carreño Youth Orchestra of Venezuela will also put in two appearances.

Following Pappano and his Italian superstars, the Teresa Carreño Youth Orchestra of Venezuela and Christian Vásquez will be gracing Royal Festival Hall with their presence. Young conductor Christian Vasquez, who made his conducting debut in 2008 with the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra, is a protégé of the El Sistema music programme.
