The SWMS Quintet Schools Prom Diary - Part 2

The South West Music School Quintet have sent us a video diary of how they're preparing for the Music For Youth Schools Prom at London's Royal Albert Hall. In part 2 we get a sneak preview of the piece they'll be performing at the Royal Albert Hall.

The South West Music School (SWMS) is a charity working with talented young musicians. The SWMS Quintet was formed by Tim Boulton to provide chamber music for students living in the Penzance area and has grown from strength to strength. They will be performing the first movement of Piano Quintet No.1 by Louise Farrenc on the second day of the Music For Youth Schools Prom, Tuesday 8 November.

In this video the quintet's viola player Freya introduces the piece and we see the quintet rehearsing the piece in preparation for their performance at London's Royal Albert Hall.
