St. Aidan's High School Chamber Choir at the Schools Prom

As the Music For Youth Schools Prom gets under way, Classic FM's Tim Lihoreau has been chatting to some of the performers backstage at the Royal Albert Hall. Here he meets members of St. Aidan's High School Chamber Choir.

St Aidan’s Chamber Choir is a mixed choir of sixty sixth-formers. They are well known in Yorkshire and further afield, having performed in recent years in Notre Dame and La Madeleine in Paris, Florence Cathedral and San Gimignano in Tuscany.

They were also privileged to be asked to sing at a Service of Thanksgiving at Westminster Abbey for the bicentenary of church schools in this country, with royalty in attendance.

The choir were the opening act of Monday's Schools Prom. Classic FM's Tim Lihoreau caught up with members of the choir backstage at the Royal Albert Hall before their performance.
