The RSC Presents William Shakespeare's Julius Caesar

This summer experience the Royal Shakespeare Company’s new production of Shakespeare’s great political thriller Julius Caesar.

Featuring a cast including Ray Fearon and Paterson Joseph, and directed by the RSC's Artistic Director Designate Gregory Doran, this groundbreaking new production finds dark contemporary echoes in modern Africa.

Talking about the production, Gregory says: "One of the inspirations behind setting Julius Caesar in Africa was discovering the Robben Island Shakespeare and that Nelson Mandela had chosen to autograph lines from the play. Julius Caesar is quite simply Shakespeare's Africa play."

Julius Caesar plays in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon, from 28 May – 7 July before transferring to Newcastle Theatre Royal from 19-28 July and London's Noel Coward Theatre from 8 August - 15 September.
