Go on a journey through Irish music and culture at the Gregynog Festival

Gregynog Festival

Experience some of the best classical music in Wales at the Gregynog Festival this June with tickets for two to be won.

Would you like a very special festival experience? We have a pair of tickets to win for Wales' oldest classical music festival this June.

From 16th to 26th June, Gregynog Festival 2016: Éire presents a journey through the music and culture of Ireland, visiting a number of intimate historic venues in the beautiful Mid Wales countryside.

Set principally in North Powys, the festival features performances by the world's leading musicians including The Academy of Ancient Music, Chamber Choir Ireland, soprano Ailish Tynan and the Fidelio Trio, as well as a range of poetry, drama, films, talks and exhibitions, which bring a host of Celtic narratives alive.

Exploring a wealth of cultural connections between Ireland and Wales - from the 7th-century Irish saint Melangell, who founded the beautiful shrine church at Pennant Melangell, to the prison camp at Fron-goch, near Bala - the festival combines classical and traditional music with great history. Listed by the Guardian as one of the top ten classical festivals in the UK - it's an event not to be missed.
