Gramophone Awards 2013 winners announced: see the full list

See the 11 recordings that have been crowned category winners at this year's Gramophone Classical Music Awards 2013, along with the Artist of the Year, Recording of the Year, Young Artist of the Year, and Lifetime Achievement

Sir Mark Elder, Jonas Kaufmann and Sir Antonio Pappano are among the esteemed classical musicians crowned winners at this year's Gramophone Awards. Marking a first for the awards, the majority of winners have been announced in advance of the ceremony itself; the winners of the Lifetime Achievement, Young Artist of the Year, Label of the Year and the publicly chosen Artist of the Year was announced this evening,17 September.

This year's awards were given out at a ceremony at LSO St Luke’s, featuring live performances from winners, and guest presenters including John Suchet, Miloš Karadaglić, and Emmanuelle Haïm. As well as celebrating this year's best recordings, the ceremony was dedicated to the memory of the late Sir Colin Davis.

James Jolly, Editor-in-Chief of Gramophone, said: “These 11 category recordings honour the most outstanding international releases of the past year and have been chosen through a gruelling process of listening and judging by Gramophone’s expert critics who have narrowed the list down from more than 800 new releases. If music lovers are looking for the best of the best, than these are the ones to buy.”
