Comedy and music for Elizabeth's Legacy of Hope
Tim Lihoreau talks to the pianist behind an inspiring concert for an inspiring charity, raising money for amputees requiring prosthetics and psychological support.
Last year, an incredible and rather different classical concert for charity was put on to support Elizabeth's Legacy of Hope, a charity that aid to raise money for prosthetic and psychological support for amputees.
The concert starred pianist Alex Ainley, who mixes classical music and comedy, and is set to do so again on October 12th at St Paul's School in Barnes, South West London. It's going to be another fantastic evening of music and mirth (featuring special guest Jeremy Vine taking care of the raffle!), and all in the name of Elizabeth's Legacy of Hope.
Classic FM's Tim Lihoreau spoke to Alex himself, and Rebecca Newsom from the charity, ahead of the concert to get an idea of what to expect, and also to learn about the incredible work that the charity is doing in places as far flung as Sierra Leone.
