Classic BRITs 2012 nominations revealed at London launch

Possible winners for this year's Classic BRIT Awards were announced in a nominations ceremony in London this evening.
The nominations for this year's Classic BRIT Awards 2012 have been announced during a ceremony at the Savoy Hotel, London. Among the nominations are Nicola Benedetti, Alison Balsom, Andrea Bocelli, Lang Lang and Benjamin Grosvenor.
Andrea Bocelli was nominated in the Best Male and Album Of The Year Categories, but will also pick up the award for International Artist Of The Year at the October award ceremony. Nicola Benedetti becomes the most nominated female artist ever at the Classic BRITs, picking up her eight nomination.
Classic FM received a Special Recognition Classic BRIT Award on the night, the day before the station's 20th anniversary.
Benjamin Grosvenor, Noah Stewart, Paul Mealor and Miloš Karadaglić all received two nominations each, making them the front-runners in this year's awards, to be held on October 2nd in the Royal Albert Hall.
The Classic BRITs launch and nominations announcement was attended by Noah Stewart, Gareth Malone, Paul Mealor and many more nominees. Film music composer John Williams is due to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award and a special tribute performance.
