Celebrate the festive season with top class orchestras, superb soloists, and some of the greatest music ever written at the Barbican’s Christmas Festival.

There's something for everyone at this season's Christmas Festival at the Barbican, from 22nd December. 

Christmas with Aled Jones

Barbican Hall, Thursday 22 & 23 December at 7.30pm Aled Jones joins a packed stage of superb artists for a wonderful concert full of cheer which will get you into the festive mood just before Christmas. Seasonal music performed will include Ave Maria, Sussex Carol, Shepherd’s Pipe Carol, Silent Night and A Christmas Festival as well as carols for all to participate with including O little town of Bethlehem; O come all ye faithful and The first Nowell. 

Aled will be joined by the full 25-piece London Concert Orchestra, The London Chorus and acclaimed soprano Jennifer France, who was nominated for The Times Breakthrough Award in Opera at the 2016 South Bank Sky Arts Awards. Aled Jones will also duet with treble Lucas Pinto in Walking in the Air, the song which propelled Aled to fame when he was a 12-year-old boy.

27 December Join Katherine Jenkins as she performs a magnificent concert of her favourite music and songs accompanied by a live orchestra.

28 December A sublime programme of Handel masterpieces performed in full 18th century costume in an evocative candle-lit style setting.

29 December Enjoy the very best scores from the two greatest film composers of the 20th Century in one fabulous programme.

30 December An unforgettable all-Beethoven programme featuring the monumental ‘Choral’ symphony with its climactic ‘Ode to Joy’ performed by the renowned Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
