Stephen Maddock at the ABO Conference

Anne-Marie Minhall chatted with the Chief Executive of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.

CBSO, symphony hall

This year’s ABO Annual Conference returned to Liverpool for three days of agenda-leading debate, discussions and presentations. While she was there, Classic FM’s Anne-Marie Minhall tracked down a few of the attendees to chat with them about this year’s conference.

One of the people she chatted to was Stephen Maddock, Chief Executive of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. Stephen reported that the mood was buoyant following last year’s funding challenges. With a number of exciting productions in the pipeline, as well as an optimistic view on music education, Stephen told Anne-Marie that the future seemed bright at the CBSO.
