Will Todd - Lux et Veritas: Tenebrae

The vocal ensemble Tenebrae renew their partnership with choral composer Todd.

This new release builds on the success of Tenebrae’s previous work with the acclaimed British composer of choral music Will Todd, which included the 2012 recording of his The Call of Wisdom.

Recorded earlier this year in London's St Augustine’s Church, Lux et Veritas features a variety of Todd’s pieces that reflect on the theme of peace. Alongside familiar works such as ‘Exalt Us In Your Love’ and ‘Tidings’, the album includes seven new pieces by Todd which are premiered here. 

These are beautifully melodic and touching pieces for calm, reflective moments, all sensitively performed by Tenabrae with the English Chamber Orchestra, directed by Nigel Short.
