Fresh from a flight from New York, choral conductor and composer Eric Whitacre is at the Gramophone Awards with us - he spoke to Classic FM before the ceremony
Host with the most, Eric Whitacre is with us at London's Dorchester Hotel with us, co-hosting this year's Gramophone Awards. He'll be presenting the best classical artists with their trophies throughout the morning.
He's just arrived back in the UK from New York, but he's still on great form, joking with Classic FM's Lucy Coward about what he might get up to at the ceremony: "I'll have a lot of fun - drag it out as much as possible," he said.
A natural on the stage, whether performing or presenting, Eric Whitacre will undoubtedly be one of the stars of the show, co-hosting with opera star Danielle de Niese and Gramophone's James Jolly.
