This vibrato and tone from Mstislav Rostropovich is just too beautiful for words

Rostropovich cello Strauss

Three sublime minutes of ravishing tone and magnificent sound from a cello master at the height of his powers.

Prepare to be turned to mush. Few people got a more glorious sound from the cello as Mstislav Rostropovich - just listen to him in Richard Strauss' epic for soloist and orchestra Don Quixote.

Three minutes of soaring lines from 'Slava' is just too exquisite. And there's sumptous support from the Berlin Philharmonic and maestro Herbert von Karajan.
