In an improvisation that would impress even the Mother of Dragons, Sabine Magiera has woven together Ramin Djawadi’s music with a piece by the Romantic great Schubert

Franz Schubert wrote his Three Piano Pieces D946 in 1828, and it’s one of the most enchanting piano miniatures of the Romantic era. Here’s Alfred Brendel performing the masterpiece:

Pianist and YouTuber Sabine Magiera decided to have some fun and create an improvisation bringing together this Schubert masterpiece with one of the most iconic television themes of the modern day, Ramin Djawadi’s music for Game of Thrones.

It’s unclear if Schubert’s music has reached Westeros, but if it had, w even sworn enemies like Daenerys Targaryen and Cersei Lannister would agree that this is pretty epic.
