The master of movie scores will perform at Nocturne Live at Blenheim Palace this summer. Classic FM listeners can book their tickets now - before they go on general sale.

Legendary Italian composer Ennio Morricone, whose score for Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight won ‘Best Original Score’ at this year’s Oscars, will headline this summer’s Nocturne concert series at Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire on 23 June 2016.

Morricone is widely regarded as one of the greatest, most prolific film composers of all time, having written over 500 scores for cinema including The Mission, Cinema Paradiso and the classic Italian westerns The Good, The Bad and the Ugly and Once Upon a Time in the West. He has sold over 70 million albums and received an honorary Oscar for “magnificent and multifaceted contributions to the art of film music” in 2007. 

Nocturne at Blenheim Palace

At his Nocturne performance, Morricone will conduct a 200-strong orchestra and choir, drawing on music from throughout his illustrious career, in the stunning open-air setting of The Great Court at Blenheim Palace. 

Tickets for Ennio Morricone start at £45 and go on general sale on Thursday March 3rd at 9am. However, Classic FM listeners can book tickets now by clicking on the link below.
