Richard Harvey (1953-) is a British musician and composer best known for his film and television soundtracks

  • Harvey studied at the Royal College of Music in London
  • He specialised in Renaissance-period instruments and music and went on to work with the early music ensemble Musica Reservata
  • His best-known work is the Concerto Antico, which he wrote for guitarist John Williams and the London Symphony Orchestra
  • He has also worked on music for films including The Da Vinci Code, Death of a President and Defence of the Realm
