Kirkhope - Banjo Kazooie

Yorkshire-born, BAFTA nominated composer Grant Kirkhope studied classical trumpet at the Royal Northern College of Music before playing in rock bands. He has created the music for several multi-million selling video games, including GoldenEye. 

Beginning in 1998, the Banjo-Kazooie franchise features the ability to build your own vehicles amidst the jumping and puzzle-solving. 

Kirkhope’s score is as jaunty and quirky as the misshapen means of transport to be constructed. Surprising, upbeat and definitely tongue-in-cheek, the series remains many gamers' introduction to Kirkhope – a fanbase that remains strong and growing.
