Howard Goodall wins an Emmy

Classic FM's Composer in Residence Howard Goodall, has won an Emmy Award at the 61st Creative Arts Awards.

Howard was awarded the golden statue in the category "Music Composition for a Mini series, Movie, or Special (Dramatic Score)" for his work on HBO's made for TV movie 'Into the Storm'.

The biographical film about Winston Churchill and his days in office during World War II, stars Irish actor Brendan Gleeson as the wartime Prime Minister and is directed by Thaddeus O'Sullivan.

Into The Storm swept the board on the night, receiving 14 nominations in total, including Outstanding Made-For-Television Movie at the ceremony held at the NOKIA Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles on Saturday 12 September.

The Creative Arts Emmy Awards, which honor excellence in more than 70 categories, are dedicated to key technical disciplines and behind-the-scenes crafts essential to television production.

Into the Storm will be screened on UK TV this autumn.
