Bach on six-string electric bass guitar

One musician has set out to prove that Bach’s music is so wonderful it crosses genres, generations – and even instruments. This is completely brilliant.

YouTuber Zachary Rizer just uploaded this beautifully atmospheric version of the Prelude from Bach’s Cello Suite No.2.

But it’s not played on cello – instead, Zachary performs the piece on a six-string electric bass guitar.

And you know what? It completely works. Close your eyes, take 3 minutes out of your day and just enjoy this velvety reinterpretation of one of the greatest Baroque pieces ever written.

You can see more of his music on his YouTube channel.
