An album has to offer something new to stand out in the crowded Christmas market, and this collection of festive music from Georgian England does just that. With one or two notable exceptions, such as Angels from the realms of glory and O come, all ye faithful, the majority of the repertoire is new to me. It is beautifully played and superbly recorded.  A CD to gladden the heart with none of the usual clichés.
